💡 What were the surprising or eye-catching figures on the electricity markets (gas &/electricity) this month?
"Gas prices have halved since mid-February. And on the electricity market, there were 6 to 7 hours of negative prices per day in the last week of April - even on normal weekdays."
🧐 What were the possible reasons for the market behavior?
"One key factor: the ongoing boom in PV installations, which is flooding the grid with cheap solar power at lunchtime."
🔮 What do you expect for the next month?
With several holidays coming up, we could be heading for a record month of negative day-ahead prices and solar feed-in. Hopefully without the challenges we have recently experienced in Spain!
