To this end, ESFORIN has developed the One-Stop Shop, which is currently fully available in Germany. It includes much more than just flexibility marketing: it also serves as a holistic electricity supplier, portfolio manager and even as an energy supplier. Commodity-optimizer from the electricity market to the gas market. This interaction is essential because every call for flexibility, such as from a combined heat and power plant (CHP) in the electricity market, can have a significant impact on gas consumption.

The ESFORIN One-Stop Shop has a modular structure. Our customers select exactly the energy services they need for their system or process - everything is possible, from individual modules to a complete end-to-end process. At the heart of the ESFORIN One-Stop Shop is our flexibility marketing across all relevant markets: from the day-ahead and intraday market to ancillary services. Digital energy services and additional cross-commodity optimization can be added on top of this.

1. Flexibility 2.0: Cross-market optimization in all relevant markets

Cross-market optimization means marketing your flexibility in the respective markets at the best possible time, whether in day-ahead, intraday or ancillary services.

To this end, plant-specific algorithms for ESFORIN flexibility marketing are programmed on the basis of restrictions and specifications. In the first step, an allocation algorithm evaluates the market opportunities across all markets and decides fully automatically where the flexibility provided can achieve the greatest value. Whether 100 % in ancillary services, the wholesale market or a combination of intraday, day-ahead and ancillary services.

In the next step, the system-specific marketing algorithm decides at which prices to buy and/or sell. The algorithms are not static, but are continuously adapted by our team in consultation with the customer. The system communicates with ESFORIN via an interface and is also controlled by it.

Since 2025, we have been offering our own ancillary service marketing in Germany, which enables us to optimize our customers from a single source.

2. Portfolio management as a supplier

The second level of the ESFORIN One-Stop Shop comprises the supply of the site and the associated balancing group and portfolio management. If required, the integration of renewables, either via PPAs or in the context of direct marketing.

Their direct link to flexibility marketing creates seamless energy management without the need for additional service providers. Customers can use these services on a modular basis and thus select exactly the modules that suit their system and processes.

3. Cross-commodity optimization

The outer level of the one-stop store comprises cross-commodity optimization. Many industrial energy processes are not only driven by electricity, but also by gas. For economically optimized control, energy sources must be considered together. For this reason, ESFORIN not only optimizes electricity, but also gas procurement. The result is a comprehensive, cross-energy source optimization that offers industrial companies in particular an economic advantage.

Avoid conflicts of interest or switching providers

ESFORIN's one-stop store offers a number of advantages that go far beyond pure flexibility marketing. Our own ancillary service marketing in Germany is a real change maker, as we can operate without duplicate structures or coordination with external ancillary service marketers. For example, no marketing forms are favored.

Many years of experience with over 20 asset types

ESFORIN has over ten years of experience in flexibility marketing and is familiar with the challenges of marketing conventional systems as well as battery storage, renewables and electrolysers. Ramp specifications, thermodynamic restrictions, heat obligations or co-location scenarios? This is not new territory for ESFORIN. Our algorithms are designed to take technical framework conditions and restrictions into account while at the same time fully exploiting economic potential. Customers also benefit from our experience as direct marketers as well as flexibility marketers when optimizing biogas or co-location plants.

AI for energy

ESFORIN uses self-developed, AI-supported algorithms that have already been in fully automated use for years. In addition, ESFORIN is further developing an AI-based real-time information and forecasting infrastructure, which makes it possible to initially provide electricity market participants with relevant information and thus make the electricity market more efficient, more flexible and therefore more sustainable. For ESFORIN's customers, this means maximum returns with minimum risk.
