Our marketing algorithms, which were specially programmed for the plant, began trading this flexibility on the intraday market of the electricity exchange within the plant-specific restrictions from 4 p.m. on the previous day (day D-1).\n\nDuring this period, more than 28 trades were executed up to gate closure for a single product by opening and profitably closing positions. <strong>everything fully automatic<\/strong>. Our municipal utility did not have to activate the flexibility of its gas turbine for this trading business. In summer, it uses low or even negative electricity prices resulting from high PV feed-in to provide climate-friendly and cost-effective heat. In the cold season, boilers or gas-fired power plants ensure reliable heat generation.
